Energy savings
The heat pump is the only heating appliance that can have an efficiency of more than 100%. The coefficient of performance of a heat pump is worth the heat output divided by the work input needed to provide it.
The drawing below shows a reversible pool heater with 500% efficiency, so a COP of 5. It means that for the same amount of heat transferred to the water, the energy costs are only one fifth of the cost with an ordinary electric water heater.
The coefficient of performance (COP) of our devices gives them an efficiency of up to 800%!
